Dr. Hannah - Practice with a heart and home visits
In many remote communities around Ondangwa - in the north of Namibia - there is a lack of access to medical care - there is no public transport and often no money for medication.
Dr. Hannah does what is necessary: she receives patients in her practice and visits those who cannot even get there - directly at home.
Goods4Life and the Mondesa Foundation support her with medication - and now also with her own sterilization device. This means she no longer has to travel 45 minutes away to the hospital to clean her instruments - and gains time to help even more people.
First aid for remote communities around Ondangwa
Dr. Hannah is training 15 volunteers in her practice in june 2025 so that first aid can also be provided in the small, remote communities around Ondangwa. During a three-day course, they receive an introduction to basic medical knowledge, practise practical applications and treat their first patients under supervision.
After the training, each first aider is equipped with a full first aid kit - for use directly in their own community. Demand is high. That is why refresher courses are planned twice a year to consolidate and expand knowledge.
The costs for training and equipment are covered by Goods4Life and the Mondesa Foundation.
